I thought I'd do a quick recap on our pregnancy so far, since I haven't really had the time to do that yet!
We were going to Bend to be with Drew's family for thanksgiving, and we were leaving Thanksgiving morning. We had been trying for a few months and I wanted to test before we left for Bend. I took a test and it was super faint; almost so faint I thought I might be making it up, so I grabbed another test to take with us. I woke up bright and early on Friday morning to do some black Friday shopping and took my other test before I left, and sure enough, positive!
Telling Family and Friends:
We knew we couldn't tell Claire until we were ready for the secret to be out! We told Claire right before heading over to my parents house. When we got there Claire told grandma and grandpa "I have a secret! Mommy has a baby in her tummy!"
We let Hunter have a turn to be the one to announce when we went to Drew's sisters house for our family Christmas. He wore a shirt that read "Big Brother" and 'said' he was thankful for his new baby as we did our birthday cake for Jesus.
Once our family was told, we mostly just told people in person, nothing too fancy :)
Official Due Date:
August 9th. I'm hoping this one will follow in the same steps as it's siblings, and I am scheduled to start daily doubles for cheer on August 10th! It's going to be a busy summer!
Baby #3 is growing steadily and we are now at 13 weeks! We had our first trimester screening, which included a nuchal translucency ultrasound and some blood work for me.
Baby's profile at 13 weeks
Looking down on the stomach and little legs that are crossed at the shins
Sort of a side view of the abdomen and bottoms of the feet
I have still yet to take any sort of bump photo (oops!), but here is a little about how I've been feeling so far.
How far along?
Yes; apparently my body has decided to give up on me this pregnancy! I feel like I'm huge already and have been showing for a while now.
Okay....We were all sick last week, which developed into a sinus infection for me, so now that I am feeling a bit better, sleep is easier to come by :)
Coffee; it's the one thing that really hasn't sounded too appealing during this first trimester
Lately its been smoothies, razzleberry pie, baby carrots and grapes.
Queasy or sick?
Queasy! I've had a much easier time than with Hunter, which I am so, so thankful for! I have only thrown up once, and am just queasy the rest of the time.
Started to show?
Belly button in or out?
Wedding rings on or off?
Feeling a little surreal lately. Drew and I both tell each other pretty often that we can't believe we're really having another! We've been so busy with the kids and both of us working that I don't think we've really had time to let it all sink in!
