The crazy month of April

Whew! We made it through April!

I'm not gonna lie, it was touch and go there sometimes, but we did it. Why so crazy you ask?

Well lets start with the fact that Drew was gone for 12 out of 30 days that month. April started with Drew being gone in Boston for a week. He came back and I jumped right into cheer tryout's which meant a long week of teaching material. On Saturday, my actual day of tryout's Drew left for Germany for 7 days. Thankfully my sweet mother in law came and stayed with the kids while I finished tryouts. The rest of the week was scattered with cheer meetings for me, and we were so lucky to have my parents and grandparents around to help with those too! It sure does take a village sometimes.
I told Drew he could take the kids with him; they even all fit in the suitcase!

Tucker picked the week of Drew being in Germany to cut two teeth, which meant 0 sleep for me. It was a long week, but luckily we stayed busy and before we knew it Drew was home!
We spent an afternoon at my grandparents house playing in the sunshine
We took our friend Heather with us for a trip to the zoo!

We stopped by the hospital and got to meet our adorable new cousin/niece Jolene!
And I even took my three little crazies out to dinner to celebrate good attitudes at the end of a long week!

Drew always parks in long term parking when he goes on trips so that we don't have to worry about dropping him off or picking him up, but since his flight came in in the morning the kids and I decided to surprise him at the airport! Claire was so excited to make a sign, and cried when she saw him walking through the gate; Hunter did his sweet little nervous laugh which is almost a half cry too. They were so excited to see him!
Waiting patiently

We are so happy to have Drew home for a little while! Although there is already talk of another Europe trip in the next few weeks; dang it!

9 Months!

Holy cow, we are almost to double digits! It's amazing how fast this first year is flying by.

Height: 29", 76th percentile
Weight: 22 lbs 7.4 oz, 89th percentile
Head Circumference: 19.29", >99th percentile
Clothing: 18-24 months
Diapers: Size 4

-Tuck's head is measuring on the large size (as all Arnold babies tend to do) so we are getting sent over to Randall Children's Hospital tomorrow for an ultrasound to make sure it's just the Arnold genes contributing to the large head and not a build up of fluid, etc.... Our doctor doesn't seem worried, but figured we better be on the safe side and just check.

-Tucker has become a total food lover lately. He is ALWAYS hungry! His favorite foods (although he doesn't seem too picky yet) are greek yogurt, cereal bars, and graham crackers. He's eating a solid three meals on top of his regular nursing sessions, as well as some snacks throughout the day. If he can put it away this fast already, I'm slightly scared for the teenage years.

-We had some beautiful weather this last month, and Tucker got to experience some of the fun that comes with the sunshine :) He sucked all the juice out of the watermelon, and had a great time splashing away in his makeshift 'pool'

- I would love to say, "this is the month that sleep got better!", but that would be a lie. We did have one sleep through the night happen when Drew was gone in Germany, but other than that, he's still up at least twice a night. He doesn't usually eat in the night until closer to 4am, but he usually wakes up for a paci, a roll over, or just because he can't possibly be without me (please note my very tired sarcasm here ;))

- We got two teeth this month! They aren't quite all the way in, but they have finally broken through the gums, and boy are they sharp!

-I've noticed Tuck's hair starting to get darker and longer. With the length, his little fuzz that has always stuck straight up in the back, is starting to start laying flat. I can't believe how much it makes him seem less like my  little baby :(

- Tucker's favorite toy is paper! His favorite is to quickly sneak some in his mouth while I have my back turned so that he can slobber it down to goo and eat it. We got a phone book dropped on our porch the other day and I decided to go ahead and let Tuck have the time of his life with it. He seemed pretty pleased with his pile of crumpled papers by the end.

We love you sweet Tuck! Happy 9 months!
